What we collect and why.

We collect information you submit through VeganFoodWork, including newsletter email addresses, restaurant suggestions, correction details, and partnership inquiries. Partnership submissions can include your name, email, organization, website, location, budget range, timeline, and message.

We use this information to provide the requested service, review and improve listings, respond to relevant inquiries, prevent abuse, and operate the platform.

Saved places currently stay in your browser's local storage. They are not connected to a VeganFoodWork account or synced to our database. You can remove individual saved places in the product or clear the site's stored data in your browser.

We use Vercel Analytics to understand page views and useful actions. We may also use Google Analytics when it is configured. These services can process technical and usage information such as pages visited, approximate location, device or browser information, referral source, and interaction events.

We use these signals to improve navigation, content, reliability, and product decisions. We do not intentionally send restaurant form messages, newsletter email addresses, or other form text as analytics event properties.

Some place pages may display live Google Maps Platform content such as a photo, rating, or reviews. When these features are active, your browser communicates with Google and Google may process technical, usage, cookie, or device information under its own policies.

VeganFoodWork stores durable Google Place IDs where needed, but does not permanently copy Google review text, temporary photo URLs, or Google-hosted image files into its restaurant database.

Public form submissions and newsletter records are stored with our database and hosting providers. Analytics, Maps, and linked services process information under their own terms. We do not sell your personal information.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain accurate review or outreach records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Retention can vary by the type and status of a submission.

You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the unsubscribe route provided in the message. You can clear saved places from your browser and can choose not to submit optional form fields.

For a privacy question or a request about information you submitted, use our inquiry form and select Other. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record before acting on a request.
