What changed
VeganFoodWork now has the first pieces of a city guide engine: a Bangkok directory, guide pages, search, filters, place detail pages and a private review workflow for adding more places without turning the public site into a messy directory.
The important product decision is that Bangkok is being treated as the template city. The same structure should later support Thailand, Japan, Southeast Asia and global vegan travel hubs.
Why this matters
A vegan platform only becomes useful if it helps people make real decisions quickly. That means the guide should answer where to eat, what kind of meal it is good for, what to order, and whether it fits the user's area or travel route.
This is also the base for revenue. A strong city page can support newsletter growth, social clips, creator partnerships, restaurant packages, sponsored guides and eventually app demand.
Next editorial priority
The next content step is to make Bangkok pages more specific: better place descriptions, dish notes, approved images, neighborhood context and useful guide sections that are not generic AI filler.
The quality bar is simple: every new article should make a vegan or vegan-curious person more confident about where to eat.
